It is the Young School philosophy to get students excited about physical fitness. Following the guidelines set forth in the Maine Learning Results, students learn about concepts involving fitness, motor skills, and social interactions. Through the acquisition of these concepts, it is desired that students will become motivated to be physically active outside of the school setting. The long term goal is for students to remain physically active into adulthood, allowing them to lead long and healthy lives.
